Florida Highway Patrol to Launch Hit-and-Run Campaign

Trusted Florida Auto Accident Lawyers

In 2016 alone, Orange County lead the state with 21 fatal hit and run accidents that left families not only grieving but searching for answers. This February the Florida Highway Patrol branch located in Orlando kicked off a campaign to help raise awareness in hopes in decreasing the number of hit-and-run accidents that occur each year.

One advocate of the campaign has been working with state legislators to draft a bill that would expand the state-wide notification system, similar to Amber alerts, to include hit-and-run vehicle descriptions. Doing this would help in generating tips and in turn lead to more arrests of negligent drivers.

How To Proceed After A Hit and Run Accident
